In Kind Direct is a UK registered charity and our patrons' generosity as supporters is absolutely core to what we do. Without their support, much of our work simply would not be possible.
Get to know our Board
Teresa Tideman is a Non-Executive Director of STDupont and a Senior Associate of Quarto Advisors, an international retail consultancy. Teresa was formerly CEO of Style Group Brands, one of the leading British Fashion Houses. Prior to that she held a number of senior roles at the Walt Disney Company including Senior Vice President and Managing Director of The Disney Store and Managing Director of the Consumer Products division for EMEA.
Teresa spent time working in Australia as Fashion Director for David Jones Ltd and is also a former Executive of Arcadia having spent 13 years with the Group working across a number of the fascias. Teresa is actively involved in a number of charities in the UK and has been a Trustee of In Kind Direct since 2010.

Ajay Kavan has been at Amazon since 2011 and is currently Vice President of International Special Projects. Ajay has been in retailing for over 20 years and has helped build large multi-channel retail businesses in the UK and Asia in senior management and board roles. Ajay has a bachelor's degree in Computer technology from PSG College (India) and completed his business education at Manchester Business School and Harvard Business School. He has sat on the Board of In Kind Direct since 2012.
Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees
Rachel has over 15 years’ experience in the mining sector, including 5 years as the Chief Financial Officer of London Mining plc. During that time at London Mining, Rachel was integral in raising Group and project finance of around $0.5bn, successfully negotiated the mining licenses and fiscal platforms with the respective governments for both the Sierra Leone and Greenland projects, and played a leading role in the listing of the Company on the AiM Board in November 2009.
Previously, Rachel held key financial roles with Anglo American Plc where she successfully led major corporate transactions. Rachel is a chartered accountant, having qualified with Coopers and Lybrand in London in 1997.
Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee
Tom Moody is Vice President & Managing Director at P&G Northern Europe. Tom spent the first 4 years of his working life for P&G in the UK in a variety of sales and commercial roles. The second phase of his career was spent in Geneva, where he had spells in both Sales and Marketing, including as European Brand Manager for Always.
He returned to the UK in 2004, where he ran P&G’s Beauty business and was responsible for integrating the Oral B business in the UK following the Gillette acquisition. He moved back into sales in 2008, as Commercial Director for P&G’s Tesco account before taking on overall responsibility for the company’s total UK Sales Operations as Sales Director, UK & Ireland in 2012.
In 2013, Tom was promoted to General Manager, Sales, P&G Northern Europe before, in 2015, being appointed Vice President & Managing Director for P&G in Northern Europe. He is now responsible for P&G’s total business operations in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

Youth Policy expert, Amar Abbas is Chief Executive Officer of University of Salford Students' Union. Until November 2016, he was CEO of award-winning youth development agency, Youth Action, which supports over 8,500 young people every year. He has worked extensively with the European Commission, the United Nations, the UK National Youth Agency and others on representing young people in the UK and abroad.
Amar delivers training on a wide range of issues, from diversity and equality to developing young people as positive citizens. He has a Masters in Management and Leadership and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce (FRSA). Amar joins In Kind Direct's Board in September 2016.

Graham was named Managing Director, Disney Store Europe in March 2013 responsible for driving Disney Store’s European multi-channel business. Disney Store Europe currently operates Stores throughout the UK & Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Denmark and Belgium in addition to online Stores in UK and six other markets.
Graham joined the Walt Disney Company in 2002 as Finance Controller for Toys. He joined Disney Store Europe in 2006 as Vice President of Finance, IT and Online. Before joining Disney, Graham held senior Finance roles at Scoot.com and Apple. Graham has been a long-time supporter of Disney’s partnership with In Kind Direct which dates back to 1997.

Tim joined Lloyds in November 2013 following 27 years at Standard Chartered where he held a number of senior roles including Global Head of Mid Markets & Commodities from 2005–10 and Global Head of SME Banking from 2012–13. Tim has a broad international experience having worked in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, South Korea and Dubai in a variety of front, middle and back office roles.
Tim sits on the CBI Energy & Climate Change Board and also on the BBA Corporate Banking Board. He mentors a number of businesses outside Lloyds and is a strong supporter of initiatives such as the School for Social Entrepreneurs Programme. He is also the CB representative for Inclusion & Diversity.

Amanda is CEO of Business In the Community following two years on loan from the Executive Committee of Aviva as Executive Advisor for ‘Project Everyone’, a project she is now chairs. Amanda is a graduate of London University and Insead. She has over 25 years of commercial experience, including Director roles at British Airways Airmiles, British Telecom and British Gas. She is also a non-executive director of Mothercare Plc.
Most recently Amanda sat on Aviva's Group Executive for 8 years as CCMO where she was brought in to change the name from Norwich Union. She has been on the board of the National Youth Orchestra for 9 years and was a member of Lord Davies steering group to increase the number of women on boards. Amanda is a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Fellow and Past President of the Marketing Society.

Debra has been the Chief Executive of the Directory of Social Change (DSC) since 2001. DSC has a vision of an independent voluntary sector at the heart of social change. She is Founder Chair and Trustee of the Small Charities Coalition and a member of the Charity Commission’s SORP Committee. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce (FRSA). She is a member of the Royal Institution and Liberty.

Michael Ross is co-founder and Chief Scientist of DynamicAction. Prior to this Michael was the CEO of Figleaves.com, the world's leading online retailer of multi-brand lingerie, underwear, hosiery and swimwear. Prior to Figleaves, Michael was at McKinsey and Company where he worked with media and retail clients in the early days of the Internet. Michael is also a non-executive director of Abcam plc and Warehouse Express Ltd.

Graham joined DHL in 1994 and has held a number of senior international leadership positions within the Group. Before retiring in Spring 2017 Graham was Chief Development Officer, DHL Supply Chain, for 3 years, responsible globally for all Sales, Account Management and Product Development activity, driving the M&A agenda for DHL Supply Chain and managing the global Service Logistics and Life Science & Healthcare businesses.
Graham is also a Non-Executive Director of OneMed, a medical supplies distributor headquartered in Sweden, and a Trustee of Transaid, a charity whose aim is to improve livelihoods in the developing world through creating better transport arrangements.

After graduating in Engineering Science from Exeter College, Oxford, Andrew qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen in London where he worked in the small business practice. On leaving the profession, Andrew held a number of senior financial roles at leading investment and universal banks including Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers and most recently UBS, where he was CFO of the Global Investment Bank based in London.
After retiring from banking in early 2012, Andrew is now the Treasurer to Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

Meet the team
Robin Boles LVO is Chief Executive of In Kind Direct since 1996. Robin is an American born tax lawyer/ MBA, naturalised in 1996 after living in Britain for 14 years. Financial services career, initially specialising in taxation of Americans abroad with what was then called Arthur Young, then Finance and Operations Director for a small asset management company working in four countries, latterly as Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Operations at what used to be called The Investors Compensation Scheme, the official rescue fund for defrauded investors. Married to a Scottish chiropractor, they live in Ayrshire and Surbiton.

James Williams joined In Kind Direct in January 2008 as Head of Business Development before becoming Deputy Chief Executive in 2011. After starting his career as a political analyst and news writer, James moved to the voluntary and community sector in a variety of fundraising, corporate partnerships and management roles at the national health charity Diabetes UK and then at the youth charity Envision. He has also worked as a fundraising consultant and trainer. James is Trustee and Vice-Chair of Sussex-based social enterprise The Now Charity Group. He has a history degree from Cambridge University and postgraduate qualifications from Cass Business School and Insead and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce (FRSA).
