Type of Goods
Surplus goods that are donated to In Kind Direct are mainly new and unused items, which might be ends of lines, seasonal items, samples, customer returns, in damaged packaging or with slight defects.
Goods can include toys, toiletries, tools and trainers; household appliances and cleaning products; clothes, shoes, sportswear and gear; bedding and linen; office supplies and equipment.
The type and amount of goods available at any one time changes in accordance with the goods we receive from our donors.
Use of Goods
The terms and conditions of joining In Kind Direct state that goods must be:
- Used to meet the operational needs of the organisation
- Given to beneficiaries of the organisation
Goods received through In Kind Direct cannot be:
- Sold, bartered or traded. Including use for fund-raising activities such as raffles, tombola’s, or auctions, or sold in charity shops or markets
- For personal use of staff or volunteers
