Pentland Brands plc powers to a cool £10k in 10k for In Kind Direct

To mark In Kind Direct’s 10th Anniversary, staff from Pentland Brands plc walked 10 kilometres at four different locations across the UK and raised £10,200 for the charity on 10th October (10/10).

Staff from In Kind Direct acted as marshals as 273 people from Pentland Brands plc made their way around set routes in Finchley London, Nottingham, Sunderland and Blackburn.

Andy Rubin, Chief Executive of Pentland Brands plc, who is also on the trustee Board of In Kind Direct, says: "The anniversary year seemed like a good time to further cement the relationship between In Kind Direct and Pentland Brands plc. We have been donating since 1999, and have given over £700,000 worth of products to In Kind Direct. These goods have gone on to help many causes from disability support organisations to play centres. A sponsored walk was a personal way for Pentland Brand plc staff to give in kind – by giving their time."

Paul Newman, interim Chief Executive of In Kind Direct, comments: "The support of corporations such as Pentland Brands plc is invaluable. Pentland Brands plc’s donations have helped many, many people in the UK and abroad through our network of charities. Their sponsorship and the staff donation of their time demonstrate that belief in in kind giving permeates the organisation.

On behalf of our charity network as well as for ourselves I would like to praise the Pentland Brands plc staff who walked those kilometres and raised that money and thank them for their continuing support."
