New trustee for In Kind Direct
Stephen Howard, the new Chief Executive of Business in the Community, has become a trustee of In Kind Direct, one of The Prince’s Charities. Stephen replaces Julia Cleverdon CVO CBE, who left the In Kind Direct board after twelve years, and Business in the Community after sixteen years.
Chris Hyman, Chief Executive, Serco, and Chairman of In Kind Direct said:
‘In Kind Direct is in the fortunate position to have such high calibre trustees. Stephen has a tremendous amount of relevant experience that will help In Kind Direct significantly grow the number of charities and the people in need it helps.
‘I would like to thank Julia for her contribution to In Kind Direct over the years. Her observations, wit and problem-solving skills have been very much appreciated, and we all wish her the best for the future.’
Stephen Howard commented: ‘I am delighted that connected to my role as Chief Executive at Business in the Community is the opportunity to serve as a trustee of In Kind Direct. There are clear synergies between the two organisations, and I very much look forward to helping the team.’
