InKind Direct - a registered charity founded by HRH The Prince of Wales

Who can join

You don’t need to be a registered charity to receive goods from In Kind Direct; you just need to be a not-for-profit organisation. However, there are some exceptions: we are currently unable to help schools (except for special schools), hospitals, mutual benefit societies, and bodies set up solely for the promotion of religion.

Goods received through In Kind Direct must be either:

  •  used to meet the operational needs of your organisation

or

  • distributed free of charge in accordance with your organisation’s charitable objectives.
Goods received through In Kind Direct cannot be sold, bartered or traded. In other words, they cannot be used for fund-raising activities such as raffles, tombolas, or auctions, or sold in charity shops or markets, or given to staff or volunteers.

What kind of goods are available?

…goods for operational use….

The Children’s Trust has been a member of our network for more than two years, and in that time the charity has received vital supplies including software, stationery and maintenance materials.

They comment:

“Every pound saved with In Kind Direct is a pound more to spend on the children."
