Projects

In Kind Direct has a number of challenging projects under way. For example:

The Kibbleworks Warehouse Pilot Project
A pilot model delivered in partnership with Kibble Education and Care Centre, the KibbleWorks Warehouse is In Kind Direct’s first local distribution hub, serving the Scottish voluntary sector from a base in Paisley, Renfrewshire.

An In Kind Direct partner which has been receiving goods from us since we started in 1997, Kibble Education and Care Centre provides support and training for young people with social, emotional and behavioural problems. In 2004 Kibble was awarded the title of UK Social Enterprise of the Year.

The community warehouse business model is designed to give a large number of charities direct access to the supplies they need, while also providing valuable warehouse and retail training to boys who have been excluded from mainstream education.

In Kind Direct’s logistics costs for the project are supported by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

We welcome donations targeting specific projects such as the Community Warehouse project - to find out how you can make such a donation, please contact us.
