Payroll giving

Business in the Community (also one of ‘The Prince’s Charities’) is promoting the benefits of Payroll Giving and a grants programme which offers any employer with under 500 staff a cash incentive of up to £500 to set up a Payroll Giving Scheme.

It’s one of the easiest and most flexible ways of giving to charity and allows employees to make donations from their gross salary and get immediate tax relief of up to 40% on each donation. The programme will also match the first £10 of each employee’s monthly donations for the first six months bringing extra cash to their chosen charity.

BiTC is working with the Institute of Fundraising to administer and promote this programme, which is funded by the Home Office.
