Cold but still claret and blue

In Kind Direct attended the Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale CVS (BPR CVS) volunteer week event at Burnley Bandstand as part of their commitment to The Prince’s Charities Burnley project. Despite the inclement weather the people who attended were all positive about Burnley FC and found it useful to find out more about In Kind Direct.
Clare Joof, Head of Charity Partnerships, In Kind Direct explains: ‘It was a bit chilly and wet but everyone was in good spirits. It is important for In Kind Direct, as one of The Prince’s Charities, to spread the word about our work and how we can help voluntary organisations in Burnley as we do across the UK. The entertainment was great fun and despite the weather everyone enjoyed themselves.’
Peter Sweetmore, Development Officer, BPR CVS commented: ‘The CVS team were delighted to welcome the In Kind Direct “girls” to our National Volunteers Week events. They along with a number of other voluntary organisations certainly helped produce some excellent events, at which many members of the general public had the opportunity to see for themselves the excellent work done by volunteers in our area.’
HRH The Prince of Wales has pledged the support of seven national charities which he created to work in partnership with Burnley Borough Council, local businesses and other government and voluntary organisations in taking forward the social, economic and environmental regeneration of Burnley.
