The power of product giving
As a charity it’s vital that we measure the positive contribution we make to society. We do this by visiting our charity partners every week, carrying out telephone research and requesting feedback. We also run an annual online survey asking our partners about the difference receiving products from In Kind Direct makes to their organisations and service users.
Here are some of the ways in which goods from In Kind Direct have helped charities to deliver their amazing work over the last year:
Helping people in crisis
4 in 5 charities provide essential support to people struggling to afford basic supplies
Restoring dignity and building self-esteem
70% of charities said that In Kind Direct improved the confidence and self-esteem of beneficiaries
Saving money and improving services
87% of charities said that In Kind Direct enabled them to source goods they would otherwise never be able to afford
Improving health and wellbeing
80% of charities said that In Kind Direct products contributed to improved health and hygiene amongst beneficiaries
Sometimes clients come to us in an emergency situation with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. Mick came to us from social services. He has dementia and was a street sleeper. Until his financial issues were sorted out he had nothing - no clothes, no toiletries! Thanks to In Kind Direct we were able to issue an emergency pack.

In Kind Direct is a fantastic organisation to work with and makes it really easy to get your surplus products out to thousands of small charities that can really benefit. You can truly see the impact this has. I would strongly recommend to any manufacturer or retailer, whether you are small or large, to get involved.
