Bringing people back together

#commUNITY

Uniting companies and communities to bring people back together

April 2021

So many community spaces and hubs have had to close their doors or significantly reduce their service during the last pandemic. These spaces are pillars in the community for many; providing somewhere clean, safe and warm for people to meet without judgement and to see a friendly face over a hot drink. Many people rely on these services for social connection and to access key living essentials, so it’s vital for them to open their doors safely and get people back together.

In response we launched the next step of our #commUNITY campaign, to amplify the importance of bringing people back together. The launch was line with lockdown easing on 12th April 2021 when charities, community centres and hubs were able to welcome back and provide much needed face-to-face support to people in their communities.

We focused on distributing a range of essential items, donated by some of our Corporate Partners, such as cleaning products, personal hygiene products, kettles, vacuum cleaners, kitchen sets, face masks, hot refreshments and snacks, to ensure our network can put their focus where it’s needed most. The longer-term impact of lockdown remains to be seen, but by working to get people back together safely, the better.

With thanks to our generous corporate partners that are supporting #commUNITY: Amazon, Essity, P&G, Pladis, PZ Cussons and Unilever.
