What is #commUNITY?
#commUNITY is our urgent lockdown response to address the immediate needs of our network of thousands of charitable organisations, and to ensure a continuous supply of essential products.
Right now, charities, community groups and food banks are needed more than ever, with many now supporting 60% more people each week. In our latest survey in January, our charity network told us that their major concern is a lack of funding and loss of income, as well as being able to keep up with the demand for their services. They tell us that keeping people clean, safe and well during these challenging times is their top priority. At In Kind Direct we’re here to help – Our support helps charities double their reach and right now, this is never more needed.
In response, we have started our #commUNITY initiative – a ramping up of our operations to actively increase the scale of donations, to impact more lives and support more communities. Working with our Corporate Partners to secure a supply of the most needed items, from handwash and PPE to laundry detergent and toilet roll, ensuring everyone has access to what they need, when they need it. Last year we we distributed products to over 3,300 charities across the country, delivering essential items to the very heart of communities and the people they support.
Bringing our corporate partners together with our charity network creates real impact and builds stories of hope, care and kindness. Whilst we have to stand apart, there’s never been a time to be more together.
