Supporting families to have a Summer of Play

A Summer of Play for every family
The summer holidays should be a time for children to look forward to, to have fun, freedom and time with friends. We believe every child should have the opportunity to play during the summer months and go back to school or start nursery equipped ready to learn, and that no one feels alone when trying to walk the ‘tightrope’.
We are excited to be working with Save the Children and a range of other partners to ensure children and their families are supported throughout the summer holidays, with products, activities and ideas they need to play, learn and live well.
We have been working hard to secure product donations of arts and crafts, games, outdoor activities and back to school items like shoes, backpacks and stationery, available to our network of charitable organisations to access.

Hear from our network of charitable organisations who support many families across the UK:

‘School holidays are really expensive for most families, as is returning to school. There is a lot of pressure to have up to date clothing, shoes, kit, stationery’
– Charitable organisation in our network

‘We now run family activities throughout the school holidays as our families told us how they struggled to feed their children, heat their homes, and entertain their children. Items from In Kind Direct mean we can offer fun activities’
– Charitable organisation in our network

‘Returning to school is very expensive, so every little bit we do goes a long way for families being able to afford their child’s uniform’
– Charitable organisation in our network

‘Parents tell us that their spare money for entertaining their children during the summer holidays now has to go on bills, which means parents will struggle to give their children the break they deserve.’
