Christmas with Kindness
Across the country, households and local communities alike were all facing a very different Christmas during the COVID-19 pandemic. At In Kind Direct, we always see a huge increase in demand at Christmas time and it looked to be even bigger in 2020 – with many increasingly worried about simply affording basics. As restrictions on being with loved ones and financial uncertainty take their toll, the emphasis on maintaining traditions, building memories and finding new ways of togetherness had a greater significance.
Our Christmas with Kindness campaign launched with a range of essential products, from basics such as hand wash and feminine hygiene products, to important feel good gifts like toys and fragrance, we were committed to getting the most needed products to everyone who needs them. Read our press release and Gift Guide of the most needed gifts for Christmas.
Our campaign wouldn’t have been possible without the ongoing support from so many of our generous corporate partners. Working together with well-known brands and local charities, we can get life’s essentials to twice as many people, helping our charity network to help those that rely on them - giving dignity, self-esteem and safety.
Give kindness at Christmas.
Listening to our charity partners
In July 2020 we surveyed our charity network to find out more about their work during the current crisis.
Helping communities prepare for what's next
will use products from us to keep people clean and safe. That means more cleaning, laundry and hygiene supplies. This is based on our July 2020 impact survey, which received 639 responses.
“We received our order with great joy because it contained the antibacterial Carex hand wash we were so looking forward to receive. These items are used in our care packages of essential products being distributed to our service users who are vulnerable and house bound.”
