A look ahead to 2024 – it’s going to be big!

2024 is the 4th year of our five year strategy, where we want to work with more organisations, unlock more savings for you and the sector, and support even more people together. 

With no clear end in sight for the Cost-of-Living crisis, we forecast more personal, organisational and community challenges to come.  With that in mind, we have set ourselves a goal of having at least 70% availability of the core essentials you tell us you need every day, to support your communities.  

We refer to these products internally as our Big 6! They are toilet roll, handwash/soap, laundry items, shower gel, toothpaste and period pads. We were delighted to hear from your feedback in our last Impact Survey in June that 82% of you had noticed a greater supply of hygiene products from us. 

Your feedback makes all the difference 

Your insights and stories also do so much more than unlock more products. Building from our 2022 Human Right to Hygiene report we’re going to continue working to fill national hygiene data gaps, increase awareness of systemic barriers, and reduce the shame and stigma of going without essentials.

Over the last 12 months we’ve supported over 5,700 charitable organisations, in our network and in 2024 we’ve set our sights on supporting 6,500 through word of mouth recommendations from you, and partnerships with organisations who are aligned on the causes we aim to tackle like hygiene poverty, getting people online, access to clothing and children’s right to play. 

This year we will also be embedding sustainability more fully across our operations to reduce our carbon emissions and increase access to eco-friendly products.
