Fresh Futures Funding for Young People and those who are NEET

Fresh Futures Fund – Supporting Young People’s wellbeing with essential products
100 organisations supported through our dedicated funding
In our recent network impact survey, 81% of our network told us that the need for their services has increased, and 40% expressed that one of their biggest challenges is keeping up with this demand. We know, though, that accessing products through In Kind Direct helps charitable organisations run their activities and services, saves them money on supplies, and enables the people they support to access essentials they would otherwise be unable to afford.
In March, we were lucky enough to receive dedicated funding of £5,000 to provide £50 in account credit to 100 smaller organisations in our network, who support young people and those not in education, employment or training (NEET), in areas of deprivation.
The fund aims to support the wellbeing and mental health of young people and those who are NEET by providing them with life’s essentials that help build confidence and boost self-esteem, and foster a sense of belonging.
We were oversubscribed with many charitable organisations submitting applications, but using our selection criteria which considered the size of the organisations, where they’re based, and who they support, we were able to select 100 organisations across the UK to receive credit.
We hope that providing the means to access more products and unlock huge savings will make a powerful impact on the communities supported, and we’ll be checking in with them later in the year to understand how this support has made a difference.
