Maximising the good from businesses
We are working in partnership with Business In The Community (BITC) to maximise the good that businesses can do in supporting communities.
BITC has been signposting community groups in their network to join our network to be able to access essential items to support their cost-of-living crisis response locally.
Webinars and training
We have teamed up to deliver a webinar on how to use impact to drive engagement with key audiences such as funders, corporates, community partners and new end-users, looking at the journey we’ve been on, and our current #PoweredByKind campaign.
View and sign up to the full list of free skills training webinars here. Some of the other topics include digital marketing and cyber security.
BITC is also working in partnership with AXA to offer funded Youth Mental Health First Aid Champion training to community leaders who work with young people (aged 8-18) on a regular basis. It’s open to community organisations in Leeds, Cardiff, Leicester and Teesside with approx. 50 employees and under. If this is you, find out more and register your interest for the training sessions here.
Employee volunteering
Earlier in the year we asked for your views and experience of corporate volunteering. Just under a half told us, you currently have employees from companies volunteer with you or you are interested in this in future.
If you are looking for these types of opportunities then BITC’s Skills Exchange programme provides community organisations with free one-to-one support, consultancy, pro-bono services and skills training from BITC’s network of 600+ business members. Log your request on their Skills Exchange platform and a member of their team will be in touch to discuss your needs.
Corporate partnerships
Both In Kind Direct and BITC work with a long list of companies in a variety of ways. We are working hard to identify opportunities from these lists to unlock more product donations and special discounts for you in our network.
