Location: 2 days in the central London office per week with flexible hours and home working on other days.

In Kind Direct is a commercially driven, impact focused charity organisation that has doubled in 2 years and is set to triple by 2025 – we currently support 250,000 people every week. At In Kind Direct we believe everyone deserves access to life's essentials and that no useable product should go to waste. We receive donated consumer products, which we then sort, store and distribute directly to charitable organisations in our network across the UK, helping their services go further. We work closely with market leading organisations like P&G, ASDA, Kimberly-Clark, Lego, Disney, Unilever, and Amazon, finding a home for all donated goods, stopping them going to landfill, extending their life, and ensuring they end up where they are needed.

At the heart of In Kind Direct is an ecommerce platform, from where circa UK charitable organisations can access essential product for their communities or to maintain their services. We are seeking an experienced and tenacious ecommerce specialist to develop this platform and embed agile and creative ways of working. Championing the needs of our charity partners and with the desire to make a real impact, you will be confident integrating into an established organisation whilst bringing a fresh perspective and the ability to work with autonomy.

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for online customer experience, focusing on improving website UX and functionality, to maximise engagement and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. Working across the organisation, you will plan, implement, and optimise campaigns to drive acquisition and retention, supporting In Kind Direct’s goals to evolve its operating model, increase the volume of goods distributed and deliver excellent customer experience.

A 5 month project with an agency is starting in December 2021 with a focus on redesigning the front end of the corporate and catalogue website, improving the entire user experience, and ensuring maximum traffic to both websites. The aim is to ensure that the In Kind Direct purpose, scale, energy, values, and impact comes across with a modern, fresh look and feel, whilst ensuring the user experience is truly fit for purpose. This person will play a lead role in this project.
