Oxfordshire Costs of Living Support

We know the real impact of our work is more than just products, it is how they can give people back their dignity and the tools they need to thrive.
Thanks to funding from Oxfordshire County Council we’ve been able to get essential hygiene and household products to people struggling with the costs of living across Oxfordshire. Not only alleviating financial pressures, but improving wellbeing, self-esteem and confidence.
We were able to rapidly distribute £138,175 worth of products, including toiletries, period products, nappies, cleaning supplies and toilet roll free of charge to households through 155 charitable organisations August-December 2025. Oxfordshire County Council have extended their support until 2029 so that we can continue to get essential hygiene and household products to low-income households in the most deprived areas of Oxfordshire and tackle hygiene poverty. Please get in touch if you would like to work with us.

“This was a difficult year, as it is with a lot of charities. We didn’t know how we would give out gifts. But with your grant, we were able to. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what is in the bag, just that someone thought of you”.
– Daybreak Oxford
“We’ve been able to stock our shower project with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and provide deodorant, toilet wipes, and toothpaste to those visiting our community centre. These simple items mean so much — helping people feel clean, comfortable, and valued. Because of you, our guests can experience moments of dignity and care that brighten their daily lives”.
– Homeless People and the Oxford Churches (Gatehouse)

To help us reach into Oxfordshire’s highest areas of deprivation we partnered with Oxford Food Hub who had the capacity and capability to receive hygiene products from us in large volumes and deliver them to their charity partners alongside the surplus food they rescue.
“Our partnership with In Kind Direct is transforming how we support our local community. By getting these goods into the hands of those who need them most, we are helping to bridge the ‘hygiene gap,’ providing local people with the dignity of personal care and the safety of a clean home – essentials that are often the first to be sacrificed during a financial crisis.”
– Oxford Food Hub
We are very grateful for the support of Oxfordshire County Council and our partnership with Oxford Food Hub on behalf of the many communities and households struggling with the costs of living across Oxfordshire we’ve been able to support together.
