Working with Micro Scooters

Working with Micro Scooters to support 1,000 charities in 2024.
We are proud to partner with Micro Scooters since 2021, enabling us to support hundreds of charitable organisations in our network with refurbished scooters. In total, since the beginning of the partnership, Micro Scooters have helped to support 634 charities across the UK.
Micro Scooters was founded 20 years ago to challenge the status quo, break the boundaries, and set new standards for the industry, with a promise to make a positive impact on the world, one Micro journey at a time.
They estimate that over 1 million children now scoot to school every day, replacing car journeys with scooter journeys and helping turn the air at the school gates into clean air. Micro are also the first and only carbon neutral scooter retailer.
They also offer replacement parts for all their scooters which enable the scooter to be repaired with high quality parts, instead of having to be thrown away. It is these scooters that are donated to us, which we are able to distribute to our charitable network. The scooters are made with only the highest quality components, meaning that every scooter donated to us comes with miles and miles of scooting adventures.
This year we are working with Micro Scooters during our Summer of Play campaign and with the introduction of scooter accessories to our donation portfolio, we are set to be able to increase this total to 1,000 by the end of 2024. Micro Scooters customers can now get involved by choosing to make a donation when they shop, which will be converted into an accessory and distributed to children who need it most.
Northern Land Trust, an organisation in our network said:
“A child we are supporting was suffering from severe social anxiety and was coping with issues at home. After worrying that her birthday will go by unnoticed, she was thrilled with the surprise party and the Micro Scooter and helmet she was given as a gift. She now goes riding in the park with her Dad. Thank you In Kind Direct and Micro Scooters for enabling this!”
