Trinity House Resource Centre

About Trinity House
Trinity House is a thriving, welcoming Community Centre in south Manchester drawing in people from Wards among the 10% most deprived in Britain.
In common with many areas of economic deprivation the children, young people, families and carers who come to the centre are coping with poor housing, anti-social behaviour and low achievement at school. Trinity House run a vibrant community nursery, youth groups and community services – including digital support and groups and activities for older people.

Our impact together in numbers
- £14,000 saved in 2025 by Trinity House by accessing products through In Kind Direct
- 8 years of collaboration
- Thousands of people reached and supported

A long-standing collaboration
They joined In Kind Direct in 2018 through word of mouth, and regularly receive a wide range of products to use on-site, give out and to complement their holiday activity programmes. Jane, CEO at Trinity House explains:
“People ask us how we can afford to give out brands like Andrex toilet roll that feel so luxurious compared to what they can afford at home.
We explain that we get this at a massively discounted rate through In Kind Direct, so it doesn’t cost us much at all!”

How Trinity House use products for social good
“One of the other products which is a hot topic right now is the Comfort fabric conditioner. This is something families will often give up when money is short, but it’s a little bit of luxury for them, they love the smell and the effect it has on their clothing”.
Many of the products they access have gone into the nursery, including LEGO, toys and large rolls of paper towel rolls that are always on hand to dry hands and wipe down surfaces.
Together, the products they access help:
- foster social connections
- reduce stigma and shame
- give children the best start in life.
The difference In Kind Direct makes
In the last year alone the centre has saved £14,000 by accessing products through In Kind Direct.
"This is the equivalent of the staffing and sessional cost for our entire junior and senior youth provision, 4 hours a week, for the whole year. Without our partnership, we just wouldn’t be able to offer the same level of services”.
